A small rebellion

The idea came from a small rebellion against the internet we all know too well: AI-generated feeds that keep serving more of the same, endless scrolling without a real choice, and popularity systems that give more attention to whatever already has attention.

The result is an internet that is always moving, but rarely memorable. We want to build the opposite: a finite internet.

500 spots, deliberately limited

Fivehundrd is being built around a visual discovery wall with 500 fixed positions per category. It is deliberately limited: no infinite feed, no endless catalogue, and no need to create an account just to explore the public discovery experience.

A genuine chance to be seen

The product is designed so every creator, artist, author, indie game developer, podcaster and newsletter writer can have a clear moment to be seen — not buried between thousands of posts, and not required to arrive with the biggest following.

Discovery starts with curiosity

We believe the best online discovery still starts with curiosity: a song you have never heard, a book you cannot put down, an indie game made by a small team, a podcast with an idea that stays with you, or a newsletter you genuinely look forward to opening.

The internet should make room for those moments, not scroll past them.

Where we are now

Fivehundrd is currently in prelaunch while we finish the final product work. The official early-access signup is on the homepage, and the FAQ contains the facts that are public today.
